WHAT WE DO

We intervene where funding is lacking by collaborating and building partnerships with leading research institutions around the world. In doing so, we support researchers in developing innovative treatments, bringing hope to thousands of people affected by cancer.

Since its creation in 2011, CRIS Cancer Foundation has worked to stabilise, attract and support talented researchers from across the globe. Through our programmes and fellowships, we provide scientists with the funding and support they need throughout their careers, enabling them to advance key discoveries in cancer treatment.

In addition, our oncology and haematology facilities in public hospitals and research centres across Europe are giving an increasing number of patients access to new treatments. Within these units, multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, researchers, bioinformaticians, nurses, laboratory technicians, clinical trials specialists and immunologists, work together to tackle all types of cancer.

Invest in Research.
Invest in Life.

From the start, the CRIS Cancer Foundation chose not to accept cancer as inevitable. We understood that the best way to fight it was to invest in science. Today, this commitment has grown into a solid, independent international reality with tangible impact.

Thanks to this commitment, we have supported research in both adult and paediatric cancer and contributed to the work of many researchers and scientists. This has enabled patients to access clinical trials supported by CRIS Cancer, and the advances achieved have the potential to benefit millions of people worldwide.

Behind every figure are lives, families and opportunities that did not previously exist.

Our work does not replace public funding; it complements and strengthens it. We firmly believe in public-private collaboration and in networked research as key drivers of scientific progress. Cancer is a global challenge that requires coordinated responses, complex infrastructures, international talent and sustained funding. CRIS Cancer acts as a catalyst to ensure that progress does not stall and that the most promising projects reach their full potential.

We are researchers, patients, doctors, companies and committed citizens. We are the CRIS CANCER GENERATION: a generation that has decided cancer can be cured through research. A generation that does not look the other way, that drives science forward with determination, and that understands that every contribution matters.

We retain the same enthusiasm as on the very first day, now combined with an international reach and scientific capacity that once seemed impossible. We look to the future with ambition and responsibility, convinced that research is the most powerful tool to transform cancer.

Thank you for being part of this generation, and for continuing to walk alongside us towards the shared goal that unites us: curing cancer.

Yours sincerely,

Marta Brime
